Who runs this brand?
Hey! My name is Mark and I am the sole-owner of IchigosCloset.
As a 21-year-old college student deeply passionate about anime and streetwear, I envisioned merging the two worlds. Growing up, I always loved watching anime, but never felt like there was clothing out there that I actually wanted to wear. I thought, you know what...I'm just going to create my own anime clothing. So, I decided to take matters into my own hands and start my own clothing brand at 18 years old, and that's how IchigosCloset was created.
I do everything from product design to marketing and for the first two years, I even packed and shipped every single order myself. Recently, I switched to using a fulfillment center to provide faster shipping times and lower rates, improving the overall customer experience. Even with this change, I remain fully involved in every aspect of the brand.
For me, IchigosCloset isn't solely about profits; it's about delivering unparalleled value to our customers. Constantly striving for excellence, I pour my dedication into ensuring you always receive top-notch quality and an exceptional experience.
Brand Name Meaning
You may be curious about why our brand is named IchigosCloset. Well, our brand name draws inspiration from the iconic shonen character "Ichigo," renowned for his clothing style.
To start, Bleach is my all-time favorite anime, and Ichigo Kurosaki is hands down the most dripped-out character in the game, at least in my opinion. I wanted to create a brand that captures that same sense of style, confidence, and uniqueness. So the name is a play on words "Ichigo's Closet" like you’re literally stepping into his wardrobe when you shop with us. It’s all about premium, wearable anime clothing.
Second, for the real Bleach fans out there, you’ll catch the reference to that classic moment when Rukia was secretly living in Ichigo’s closet. That scene stuck with me and it gave the brand name a hidden meaning.
Even though our brand name is IchigosCloset, I don’t just create Bleach-inspired clothing. The brand goes beyond that, it's about celebrating anime culture as a whole, through clothing that’s both premium quality and wearable.
